Babylon IDA CEO Tom Dolan joined Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Town Clerk Gerry Compitello, and IDA Board Member Marcus Duffin for the groundbreaking of the new Hampton Inn & Suites, located at 1030 Broadhollow Road in Farmingdale. The project is expected to employ approximately 200 construction-affiliated workers and an estimated 16 hotel employees between construction and hotel operations. The total project cost is forecasted at $28 million.
The hotel’s targeted grand opening date is July 2025. It will feature 101 guest rooms with 16 suites, showcasing Hilton’s latest Hampton Inn and Suites model. Located on Route 110, in the business corridor near Republic Airport and Farmingdale State College, the hotel will provide a valuable location for business/social/leisure travelers and visitors. The Hampton Inn and Suites will have a meeting space, fitness center, indoor pool, and complimentary breakfast daily. The outdoor patio will include sitting areas with a firepit.
The principals involved in this project have a proven history of developing and operating successful hotels. They pride themselves on providing quality to their guests and look forward to working within a welcoming community! Without the IDA assistance, this project would not have been possible.
